What happens when there’s no will

If someone has died without a will, then that person will have died Intestate, which means that their assets will be distributed in accordance with the Intestacy rules. The legal document issued to the administrator is called the Grant of letters of administration and it is this document that will be required to close bank accounts, sell a property or administer an estate generally.
